
Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Workshop

This beginning level 11 CE , initial Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) training provides an overview of the TF-CBT model, including the PRACTICE components, trauma-informed assessment, caregiver involvement, gradual exposure, trauma narrative development, and strategies for supporting children and adolescents impacted by trauma. You will also receive 12 consultation calls to support your learning following the training.

Who Should Attend?
This training is designed for therapists who are professionally licensed or registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and serves as the foundational training toward national TF-CBT Certification.

Certificate
CE participants will receive their certificate of completion via email within 30 days and only after confirming their attendance on the sign-in sheet, completing the course evaluation and meeting any other documentation required by their licensing board.
Hillsides, provider #1466, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 02/16/2024 through 02/16/2027. Social workers completing this course receive 11 clinical continuing education credits.
Registration Deadline and Fee
The registration deadline is August 19, 2026. The cost is $750/participant which includes 2-day training (lunch included) and 12 consultation calls.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we aim to be as accommodating as possible. Refunds for cancellations will be issued according to the following schedule:
- More than two weeks before the scheduled date: Eligible for a full refund.
- Within two weeks of the scheduled date: Eligible for partial refund less a 20% service fee
- Day of the training or later: Non-refundable.
Pre-requisite Requirements

Get to Know the Trainer

Casey Meinster, LMFT
Casey is a nationally certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Trainer who partners with clinicians and organizations across the United States and Canada to strengthen trauma-informed, evidence-based care. She is passionate about helping professionals build confidence, clinical excellence, and meaningful impact for the children, youth, and families they serve.
After becoming a certified TF-CBT therapist and later advancing to a Train-the-Supervisor role, Casey was selected in 2025 for a competitive Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration-funded initiative through the National Child Traumatic Stress Network in partnership with the TF-CBT developers. She now trains, coaches, and supports clinicians in building trauma-responsive practices that foster healing and resilience.
Casey holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Fort Lewis College and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University.
